We got a cab ride for $10 each way, and had no trouble getting back to the ship on time.Īfter lots of research before our cruise last week, I chose Buccanos for a short, relaxed beach day with our family of 6 (including a 2 year old and 7 month old). Luckily, we declined this offer, walked through the downtown port, and out onto the Main Street.

The $120 included the driver to stay and wait for you to ensure you got a cab back to the ship.

He was going to charge $120 round trip cab fare for a family of 4, plus $25 per person beach club admission. A note about getting a cab to Buccanos-We were told about this club by a taxi stand worker. He encouraged us to walk around a bit before deciding on staying and paying the admission price. The attendant who greeted us after getting dropped off was friendly and not pushy. The beach club service was excellent, even though the resort was very crowded when we arrived. Beach chairs, snorkel gear included in admission price of $20. Highly recommend Buccanos! Clean, fairly new. We did not have an excursion planned prior to getting off the ship, just planned on finding a beach to hang out at. We spent 4 hours there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will go back. They had a fish spa, where the little fish nibble on your feet.

Massages were offered at good prices, snorkeling equipment was included. The chips and guacamole and the chicken quesadillas were delicious. Service was good while laying under a palm tree. There were lots of loungers in the sun and in the shade, lots of palm trees. There were only 2 shops there, a big restaurant, and clean bathrooms. So, I was wanting to try something new, and was not disappointed. Sanchos, which is okay, Paradise Beach, which is too crowded, and Playa Mia, which has horrible food and drinks. We found one soliciting Playa San Juan, for $35- including round trip. We worked our way over to the taxi stand, where people are holding posters, gathering tourists. We were thrilled to find the sun was out when we arrived at Cozumel. Rain was predicted the whole week, so we had not booked any excursions.
